Leigha & Jon~ An Oberlin Engagement Session
I love when I get to meet up with my couples in new-to-me places!
When Leigha and I were discussing the details of their engagement session, she asked if I could meet up with them in Oberlin. I've never been there so I arrived extra early to check out the locations. I was immediately in love. The very large park-like square in the middle of town is such a treasure. I love large open green spaces in the middle of cities. To add to the charm, there are the cutest swings hanging from large trees all over the square! Talk about charm!
Leigha's parents were in the area and they stopped by to wander around with us as we tried to avoid the tents placed around the square for the marathon the next morning and the field of white chairs laid out for graduation the following Monday. There was such a buzz about town, it was graduation/alumni weekend. Everyone seemed so excited.
The rain managed to hold off...until about 5 minutes into our session! But Leigha and Jon were such troopers. If you look you can see some rain drops suspended in a few of the photos.
Leigha & Jon have such a comfortable love. It invites you in and makes you feel like you've been part of their friend group forever! They compliment each other so much.
After wandering around downtown we went to their house for a quick change of clothes and to pick up their pup, Ruger. Then we went down to the Arboretum down the street from their house. To say Ruger has a lot of energy would be an understatement. He was running everywhere hunting anything he could find! We were able to convince him to pose for a few family photos with his parents.
I had such a wonderful time with you two! I am so excited to be a part of your wedding day. I know it is going to be such a beautiful occasion!
