Celebrating Friends Falling in Love | Amber + Anthony

The Barn at Tall Oaks Wedding

Amber and Anthony met in college while attending the University of Mount Union in Alliance, OH. We visited the campus for their engagement session last fall so that they could reminisce back on when they first met and fell in love. They currently live in Florida but wanted to celebrate their wedding in Ohio close to family and friends.
They planned their wedding not only during a pandemic, but also from over a thousand miles away. Despite all of the difficulties, they were able to create the event they had been dreaming of, surrounded by their closest family and friends. They took nothing for granted and truly took time to greet and talk to each guest that came to celebrate them. It was so personal and intimate in the wide open space of the Barn at Tall Oaks.
The ceremony took place at the Chardon United Methodist Church where Pastor Tom Snode officiated a beautiful sermon celebrating the couple and all that lies ahead for them in their marriage. Once they were married and walked back up the aisle as husband and wife, Amber and Anthony exited the church to bells, bubbles and lots of cheers from their loved ones.
The couple chose write special, intimate vows to one-another and read them to each other in Chardon Square. Moments like this are truly so special on the wedding day. This is when everyone can relax a little and the couple gets some alone time to take it all in.
Shortly after this we met up with the wedding party and the limo bus to take some photos at Punderson Mansion in the State Park. It was one of the hottest, sunniest days this year so we all took a short break at the Mansion bar to enjoy some cooler air and they enjoyed a few drinks. The view from the backyard of the mansion is beautiful, so we did take some time to enjoy that landscape for a bit.
Afterward, everyone piled into the limo bus and we were off to the Barn at Tall Oaks for the reception. This is a brand new venue in Kirtland. They will have a carriage house and ceremony site completed later this year, but the barn is a beautiful space for a large wedding. The large window above the staircase adds beautiful natural light to the entire space.
The entire reception was humming with energy and excitement. Amber had planned every detail and it all came together beautifully, from the welcome sign to the sweet flower seeds in little pots. I love weddings that have sweet personal touches included in them.
We snuck the couple out to get some last portraits of them at sunset outside of the venue. I’m so glad they were up for this, I love these images so much! It was really fun to get them out at this new venue. They even ended the night with a sparkler exit! What a great way to celebrate a successful wedding day! Congratulations Amber and Anthony!
